Lead by example: Brazilian Ex-sergeant and Black Belt Jiu-Jitsu explains how to work on self- improvement
Thiago is a black belt Jiu-Jitsu instructor from North Brazil. Today he lives at the Gold Coast, Australia, and runs his own Jiu-Jitsu business (Virtue) in Southport. He grew up in poverty in a fishermen’s village called Natal, Brazil. In his past, he served the army for many years and was instructing soldiers. When he arrived in Australia, he had just $500 in his pocket. From then until today it has been a long journey and hard work. He had to start again from scratch. So, he decided to study marketing, business, and English to build up his new life in Australia. As Thiago is a humble person who never gives up, he is still studying to learn for life. If you’re interested in Thiago’s past and the challenges he had to manage in his life so far, listen to this inspiring interview. You can learn from him about self-development, the history of Jiu-Jitsu, and how to become a better person daily. Listening and learning from each other is key for personal development and success.
